So, to me the pot was a little plain compared to some of the illustrative work I've been doing for this project. I've decided to take a step in a new direction and here it is!
This is Angie Barker's senior studio project blog. The project is creating a new identity for a non-profit, more specifically The Community Table of Jackson County for my project (everyone else in my class picked their own.) The Community Table has been servicing Jackson County for over 10 years.

Web Design in progress
You never quite realize how much illustration you have to do for a project that is as in depth as this one. I'm still coming up with illustrations for the volunteer page and others, its just a slow process when you want everything to be perfect for such a deserving non-profit... oy.

New Logo Idea Rough
I like the idea of incorporating a human element into the logo. The reason being I want it to look like a place someone would want to go to for that human interaction, warmth, etc. Not completely sold on it yet, but it is one of the contenders.

illustrations cntd.
Sorry for the bad images. The library closes as soon as I get off work. Better images will be uploaded and refined Friday when I'm off!
One idea I have in mind for the visitors page is to have little plate illustrations just as decorative accents. |
Another illustration for the visitors page to show a homey drawing of a table setting in relation to how the Community Table sets up their space for their guests. |

Illustrations for the website...maybe the brochure as well, etc.
The second illustration is just a regular farm sink that I drew quickly as a rough. A more refined version would be placed on the volunteer page. The idea being after the meal the volunteers would help cleanup like someone would at hostess's home.
Some other illustration ideas that I have are a landscape of pots and pans (or veggies/fruits/grains) for a image to be placed on a notepad for the community table director, an illustrated version of their wishlist with the items as drawings, some meal or food illustrations for the brochure, and many more that I'm still thinking of!

Finalized Flyer Designs
The final designs had to have all the event details about where to come, who was sponsoring it, the affiliation with the Feinstein Foundation, and the older logo.
